Heat pump and solar installers across Greater Manchester

Our office is at 12–14 Midland Street in Ardwick, Manchester. We work across England and Wales, and most of our work is within Greater Manchester — so we have written up what each area's housing actually means for a heat pump.

Every grant figure on these pages is checked against Ofgem and GOV.UK, last reviewed 22 August 2026.

Outside Greater Manchester

ByEco covers England and Wales. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is an England and Wales scheme administered by Ofgem, so the grant amounts on these pages — £7,500 for a heat pump, or £9,000 where the property is off the gas grid on oil or LPG until 31 March 2027 — apply anywhere we work. Scotland and Northern Ireland run separate schemes that we do not operate under.

If you are outside the five areas above, the general guidance still applies: read the Boiler Upgrade Scheme explained, check the numbers in heat pump vs gas boiler running costs, and then tell us where you are.

Where ByEco stands right now. Boiler Upgrade Scheme applications can only be lodged by an MCS-certified installer. ByEco has MCS & TrustMark certification in progress and cannot submit a BUS application on your behalf yet. If you are planning work to a fixed date, tell us the date and we will say honestly whether we can meet it or whether you should go elsewhere.

What we install

Air source heat pumps and solar PV, with battery storage where it earns its place. Nothing else — we do not fit air conditioning. Start with heat pumps or solar, or see the grants overview and our advice articles.

Not sure where to start?

Send us your postcode and how your home is heated now. We will tell you what suits it and what it would realistically cost — including if the honest answer is not yet.
